No stranger to NYC having played for reSolute, Made Event and The Bunker, he's back for another US tour visiting LA, Chicago, DC and New York on this 10 day trip. Having worked with the worlds best including Dettmann, Klock, Bayer and Delano.. we look forward to what Par will bring in Summer '10.

PÄR GRINDVIK
Pär Grindvik or his pseudonym The Hollow has been a core person of the Swedish electronic scene since the nineties as record store owner (Illegal Stockholm), label manager and producer. After many years of touring and releases on labels like Drumcode, Spectral Sound and his own label Stockholm LTD (which he created and founded in 2002), he's become is an internationally renowned artist.

INSIDEOUT
Grant Aaron, aka Insideout, has been with Clink since it’s inception in 2005. Grant began DJing in 1997, mainly influenced by the striped down minimal sounds of Daniel Bell, Plastikman and Mike Ink. It didn't take long for those influences to move him from behind the decks to the studio.

JD HARRINGTON
JD Harrington fell in love with electronic music and rave culture as a teenager growing up in Florida during the late 90s. He bought his first turntables soon thereafter and began DJing, though it remained a hobby for years. Upon moving to NYC in early 2007, JD quickly found himself immersed in the city's thriving techno scene.

  CLARO INTELECTO
On April 3rd, Oktave is pleased to present CLARO INTELECTO from Modern Love out of Manchester, UK. It's been almost exactly one year since Mark graced the soundsystem at Studio B in Brooklyn, and we couldn't be more excited about his return. The dubbier side of techno hasn't always been as popular as it is today, but Claro Intelecto's dedication to the sound has been unquestioned since his production career began in 2003. In 2009, demand for Claro Intelecto's skills in the DJ booth didn't slow down a bit with gigs in Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, United Kingdom and Ireland.

SAMULI KEMPPI
Although he's known as one of the key figures in the Finnish Techno scene, SAMULI KEMPPI's reach goes far beyond the borders of that country. He is a hard-working producer and DJ who is always breaking boundaries and delivering a fresh mixture of times past and days to come. His influences range from Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode to Sahko Records and recent Sleeparchive releases. His sound is described as "icy cold techno, a controlled exercise in minimal techno devastation, bass-heavy jacker grooves with shivering hi hats and floating athomspheres…"(boomkat). Samuli has been releasing his music since 2002 under different names/pseudonyms. 2008 and 2009 have been very successful years for him, with fantastic releases on Ostgut Ton, Prologue and Time To Express.

ERIC CLOUTIER
The Bunker's ERIC CLOUTIER is an Oktave favorite. If you appreciate techno with depth and sophistication, played with tight technical skill and genuine feeling, Eric Cloutier should be on your radar. His recent sets around NYC have become an attraction for dedicated heads seeking a deeper shade of techno. Aside from some very memorable sets at The Bunker this year, Eric traveled to Japan to play at the Labyrinth Festival, and appeared in Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, Memphis, Vancouver, Boston, and Washington, DC. He put out several well received podcasts in 2009, and is working on a few new ones, and delving into the studio for some original productions.

OKTAVE presents CIO D'OR & THREE
FEBRUARY 26TH, 2010

On Friday, February 26th, Oktave is pleased to present CIO D'OR representing Prologue and Time To Express. Miss D'or's 2009 head turning release "Die Faser" is a deep and hypnotic composition and was rightfully named "the most valuable [album] of 2009" by minimaland.com. She has been charted by Samuli Kemppi, Falko Brocksieper, Eric Cloutier, Silent Servant, Efdemin and Giorgio Gigli amongst a host of other notable DJ's and producers. We couldn't be more excited about hosting her first event in New York.

We are also pleased to present THREE representing Hallucination Limited. Three had a very busy 2009 with gigs in Madrid, Tokyo, Melbourne, Berlin, London and of course New York. His newly relaunched Hallucination Limited has a massive 2010 planned with new music and mixes from Peter von Hoesen, Cheap & Deep, Seth Troxler & Inxec, Gadi Mizrahi and Butane, just to name a few. Known as a "DJ's DJ", Three continues to steadily cement his reputation as one of the best American underground DJs to emerge in the last decade.

JEFF DERRINGER
Oktave resident Jeff Derringer has been writing, producing and performing music in the studios and on the stages of New York for more than a decade. Jeff hails from Chicago, where his electronic music inclinations were originally sparked and honed. In the studio, he is currently hard at work on 'Exit Sound,' his first EP of pure techno tracks. Jeff has produced remixes for Lykke Li, Northern State and Galactic, amongst a host of other artists.

OKTAVE presents SILENT SERVANT (SANDWELL DISTRICT)
JANUARY 21ST, 2010

On Thursday, January 21st, Oktave is pleased to present Silent Servant from the Sandwell District imprint out of Berlin. Sandwell District remains one of the most authentic, consistent and highest quality outlets for techno music despite an enigmatic absence of marketing and promotions.

The Central American born producer cut his teeth in the late '90s running the California-based Cytrax label. A chance meeting with Karl O'Conner in 1999 would establish a friendship that would later open the door to the Sandwell District label in 2006. Silent Servant's sound is a reinterpretation of early '80s post-punk electronics, paired with the deep, metallic sounds of Basic Channel and Downwards. One of Silent Servant's aliases "Jasper" also mixed the “Rauschen 15" disc for Force Inc, which made him into a successful international touring techno DJ performing in clubs worldwide from Osaka to Berlin.

OKTAVE presents TAIMUR+FAHAD (BLKMARKET MEMBERSHIP) - NOVEMBER 5TH, 2009

For the next edition of Oktave, we continue to celebrate New York City techno residents when we host Blk|Market Membership's Taimur+Fahad. Blk|Market has been on fire in 2009, hosting some of the world's best DJs including the Wighnomy Brothers, Reboot, Dixon and Richie Hawtin. With upcoming shows featuring Sasha and DJ Koze, Blk|Market is really making its mark on New York's techno scene. We're pleased to present the Blk|Market residents in a headlining capacity this time around, for a night of deep and delicious beats on the Lower East Side. Oktave resident Jeff Derringer will open the night, followed by an extended set from Taimur+ Fahad.

TAIMUR+FAHAD
Since taking the torch from ROBOTS in December 2007, Taimur & Fahad have established one of the strongest techno nights in NYC with Blk Market Membership. Bringing in guests who most influence the sound that they push as DJs, Taimur & Fahad have orchestrated some of the biggest, best techno events of the last two years. As DJs, Taimur & Fahad have earned respect from fans across the US as well as the artists they bring in for their events. Be it opening or closing at their parties or even playing back to back or afterhours, they are widely regarded as two of the finest techno DJs in New York.

Newcomer White Slab boasts a 'secret room' with killer sound just off the kitchen entrance. Just pass through a couple of doorways and follow the music. They've got a great bar with a wide array of beers and specialty cocktails. Beers start at $4 and cocktails at $6. Vodka drink specials for $3 from 10-12pm.

OKTAVE presents DEREK PLASLAIKO & ERIC CLOUTIER - OCTOBER 8TH, 2009

Oktave is pleased to host two of NYC's hottest stars, Bunker residents and techno phenoms Derek Plaslaiko and Eric Cloutier. They've made quite a name for themselves internationally with Derek just back from Berghain in Berlin, and Eric fresh from Labyrinth in Tokyo. As long running residents at the wildly popular Bunker parties at Public Assembly in Brooklyn, they'll be bringing the beats to the LES on October 8th.

Derek Plaslaiko is considered by many to be one of the best DJs in New York City (including the Village Voice, who named him "New York’s Best Techno DJ" in 2006). In the first half of 2009 Derek toured the US to promote his mix on the "Spectral 50" compilation. 2008 was also a big year for Derek, with a successful 20 city Spectral Residency tour of the US, extremely well received podcasts for Resident Advisor and XLR8R, and many amazing sets at the Bunker party in Brooklyn.

For his part, Eric Cloutier is quietly making himself stand out amongst Detroit's next generation of producers and DJ’s. He performed at both 2004's Movement festival as well as 2006’s Detroit Electronic Music Festival. In 2005, he was handpicked as a chosen replacement for the next batch of DJ’s at Detroit's monthly "Untitled" parties, and in 2007, the up-start record label Mood Gadget.
